Things are going well down here in HOT, HUMID, SUNNY Florida. We are anxiously anticipating the arrival of Grammie and Poppie. Nicholas usually asks about them daily.
We had a pinecone, or as Nicholas called it a 'pincone' on top of our Lanai. Every time we were out there he would point to it and say "Pincone off!" Matt didn't want to deal with actually getting it off, so he did what ALL good dads do and say it was a job for Poppie. So the saga changed to Nicholas saying. "Pincone off broom Poppie soon." What a smart little boy. Except the wind blew it off the other day, we didn't witness it but the 'pincone' is most definitely GONE. What will Poppie do when he comes to visit????
A week or so ago we asked Nicholas if the baby in Mama's belly is a baby boy or baby girl. It took a while for him to get more out than just baby and give us a huge grin, but he finally said "Baby Girl" in the sweetest voice. Well Matt and I are having a REALLY hard time agreeing, or really even liking the girls names we come up with. We have a boys name and will announce it if this is a boy. Any way I have recently decided that I like the name Rebecca, Becca for short. Matt likes the name Natalie. Needless to say we don't the each others pick. Well, I guess that I just had to see what would happen if I presented my pick to Nicholas.....well he says the sweetest two words, "Baby Beeca." Matt said that it isn't fair that my name is easier to a 2 year old to say.....well now when asked Nicholas says the baby's name is "Baby Beeca, Baby Beeca." We will see on July 11th if he is right or not. Who am I to doubt his intution?
Life is getting better with each day. God has blessed me with such a wonderful (and patient) husband, two kids that keep me on my toes, and amazing family and friends. Do I sound like a Lifetime movie?

Changing of the guards
My mom was down for two weeks and then my dad came down for 2 weeks, but ended up staying an extra week. It worked out well, I was in hospital for a night! They got to see each other for one night. My mom ended up coming back the day my dad left. They met up for about 10 minutes in the airport. My parents are SO wonderful. I can never thank them enough for all of their help!

Grandmum
Nicholas was so happy to see his Grandmum. Daddy stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and Grandmum went crazy buying stuff for Nicholas. Here he is singing on his karaoke Elmo. He also got a golf bag complete with clubs, a big bounce ball, digging tools, and a Bob-The-Builder tool bench. What fun we are having with Grandmum!

We've been busy
Celebrating anniversaries, engagement and 30th birthdays. Although the celebrating is mostly done over the phone and at home. Matt and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on May 25th. I can't believe it has been 4 years already. But then I look and Nicholas and realize that he is almost 2, we have lived in 2 different states and three houses since we have been married so I guess maybe it does feel like it has been 4 years! My parents celebrated their 35th anniversary on June 2nd. I wonder if they feel like it has really been 35 years! Then the BIG news is that my little sister and her man got ENGAGED!!! It was 'officially' on June 2nd, but just after midnight. From what I hear they are both just glowing with excitement. It will be a fall 2008 wedding. We couldn't be happier for both Christie and Jamie. Finally, I turned 30 yesterday. It really wasn't such a big deal. I feel good about jumping into my thirties. I mean I will soon be a mom of 2 and I have done a lot in my 20 so I am right where I want (and thought) I would be when I turned 30.
I don't have great pictures of anything to post so I will post pictures of Nicholas mowing the grass. He is so funny to watch. He takes his little mower around the pool the whole time Matt mows the lawn. Last week he started wiping his face with his shirt. Oh yes and he has to wear his sunglasses and hat while mowing. He is such a little character!
