September fun (2009)

The kids really like to play in the rain, and here is is pretty often. They splish and splash around, not really sure why I put jackets and boots on. Well maybe because they look so cute in them!
Mimie and Natalie trying to finish a puzzle.
Natalie jammin' with her Halloween costume wings on she loved walking around with those on, imagine that! They were so excited that kitty let them get so close! She jumped off as soon as the picture was taken. If I could read her thought I am sure it would go something like, " Oh no here they come again. And that lady, I thought she was my friend, getting them close and oh not that flash thing again. I am OUTTA here!" Like I said IF I could ready her mind!
Poppie and his cuties!

Let's See

I better hurry up here and catch up with the last year. I will keep it brief and use LOTS of pictures. Here's to my hubby for the comment, " You haven't posted anything in almost a year!' Thanks Babe! Here are the shots from Nicholas' first day of V PreK 4. He walked right in and said "Bye" without a second thought. Matt and I didn't know what to do with ourselves. We were prepared for something a little different!

OH.MY.GOODNESS!

Seriously I have no idea why 'blogging' is such a dreaded chore. I SO enjoy reading other blogs ~ seeing pictures, reading about people and their adventures. But one day I won't remember those people's adventures and will be wondering WHY I DIDN'T WRITE about my adventures, my kids, or my sometimes very interesting life. So here it goes....I am back and I may be doing more writing than posting pictures, but hey isn't that what Facebook is for????

He's FOUR!!!!!!

All I keep thinking is that he is just so darn CUTE! He has grown up so much and so fast this year. He has the funniest comments....."That's what I was thinking, that sounds good to me, and sure does......" He rarely stops talking, such a little chatter box. I wonder where he gets that :)
He even has his own version of certain words renected =connected, compare=repair, balconique=balcony and when he prays....
God on sa-der (God our Father)
We praise you
Sor our many blessin's (For our many blessings)
Ar-rmen (Amen)
He loves Curious George, Diego, LEGOS, John Deer stuff and he pretends to mow the grass in the house (the carpet) and is always going on a road trip to his grandma and grandpa's house in MI, but they are always gone when he gets to their house. He plays babies with Natalie, they live in an apartment and you need to take the elevator to get there. He is the daddy and she is the mama.....but sometimes she is his mama. Sometimes he goes to work and she stays home with the kids. Nicholas has somehow convinced Natalie to participate in his make-believe adventures. For the most part she follows his around like a little puppy, but if she has a her own ideas....watch out. He gets so mad....you can just see frustration fill his little body and he blows......at the top of his lungs!
I can hardly wait to see what the next year has in store for us. He is truly an amazing child with the the most amazing imagination EVER! He is scared of thunder storms and like to snuggle before bed. He thinks our van is a spaceship and told me that he and Natalie got married, "because we love each other so much!" He enriches my life every single day.....I love you peanut butter! His car wash from Daddy!!!

Nicholas and Dina playing...he got the Leap Frog keyboard that hooks up to the TV

He decorated his own cupcake and only ate the frosting!

Waiting for HER cupcake!

Busy decorating!

The four kids.....Natalie 1 (20 mos) Dina 3 (almost 4) Nicholas 4 and Demetri 17 mos!

End of a GREAT year

Our fam pic after his end-or-year program. I don't have pictures b/c we videoed the whole thing. So if you are in the area stop by and we will play it for you.
Two weeks before the year ended we celebrated Nicholas' birthday at school. He was so excited to have his special day.

The last day he did outdoor games, had a picnic, and then a water balloon 'fight' Natalie even got to play!

The end of the most wonderful, exceeded all of our expectations, year. I was so sad to have the year end. Nicholas has grown up SO much in the last 9 months. He really has gone from a baby boy to a little boy. He has grown almost 4 inches and gained about 8 pounds. He is more independent and helpful. If you ask him the name of his school he will tell you, "Little Blessin's" and that they "Worship God" on Fridays. I am very excited that he will be going there next year. I have total confidence that his teacher will be just as wonderful as Ms. Sandra R.

Three amigos....Nicholas, Leland, and Ethan. They are really buddies and the only boys in a class with 6 girls. His teacher called them the Three Stooges.

The great rain of May 2009

My parents were down in May. As it worked out Matt was in CO for work. I don't know what I would have done with 2 kids and overflowing pool and 28" of rain (honest) for 4 days! We had fun and Poppie and Natalie got to play girl stuff, like babies and tea party.....I wonder if it reminded him of playing with my sis and I?

She loves her (pop)corn on the cob....

Our pool and deck overflowing with about 3" of standing water. On about the 4th straight day of rain.
We just had to get out.....if even to play in the puddles.....you just have watch out for alligators and snakes. (seriously)
The day BEFORE the rain Nicholas started using floating pool toys, he is so proud of himself!

Washington DC

We drove up to DC for my cousin's wedding. My parents and sis and BIL were there too. I got to meet Elizabeth and see Kevin and Lindsay (cousins) daughter for the first time....she is so sweet. AND we celebrated Jenny and Jim's marriage. Then we were able to do a little sightseeing the day before we went home. Nicholas' favorite part of the whole weekend~the elevator in the hotel and then the one in the Lincoln Memorial. What a kid!

Here's our fam with Lincoln

Easter 2009

Coloring eggs
Nice 'cheese' picture of Natalie
Family picture after Easter egg hunt at church.

They had a lot of fun putting the eggs in the basket. They are at such a fun, fun age. Dolly got a baby bed for her babydolls and a tea set. Nicholas got a GEO track fire train.

Life in Florida

Our visit to NASA
It was fun, Nicholas like the shuttle buses the best! The buses take you to all the different 'spots' a lookout to see the launch pads, and two other sites. There is also a covered play area. I think they will like it better in a few more years.

The ZOO! It was a great day, but Binder Park Zoo in BC, MI is better. I do love the natural FL landscape!

The Shuttle launch from our driveway. It is so amazing to watch the shuttles in the sky. It was such a clear night you could even see the boosters break off!
