Mr BIG

Uncle Tim bought Nicholas a piano for his birthday...like the one from the movie "Big" from FAO Schwarz. I think that Matt is enjoying it too. Nicholas likes to run back and forth and occasionally drag his little caterpillar pull toy over it making all kinds of noise, I mean music. What a fun gift!

Baby Beeka

In case you haven't heard we are having a girl. Here are the pictures taken at my last apt. Mom and baby are doing well. She is on track for the Nov due date. We are so very excited, and also a little shocked. I really thought it was a boy, I think Matt did too. Nicholas is still calling her baby Beeka. I think we have have decided on Natalie Rebecca, at least for now. Enjoy the pictures!

It was an ELMO day

Grammie and Poppie with the Birthday boy

Naming his friends
Wow Mama made the cake FREE of all of the allergens so Nicholas could eat it and he wouldn't even take a bite!

Happy Birthday to my little BOY

I have pictures from the party with my parents I will post next, but here is the 2 year old!

It's been a while

Things are going well down here in HOT, HUMID, SUNNY Florida. We are anxiously anticipating the arrival of Grammie and Poppie. Nicholas usually asks about them daily.
We had a pinecone, or as Nicholas called it a 'pincone' on top of our Lanai. Every time we were out there he would point to it and say "Pincone off!" Matt didn't want to deal with actually getting it off, so he did what ALL good dads do and say it was a job for Poppie. So the saga changed to Nicholas saying. "Pincone off broom Poppie soon." What a smart little boy. Except the wind blew it off the other day, we didn't witness it but the 'pincone' is most definitely GONE. What will Poppie do when he comes to visit????
A week or so ago we asked Nicholas if the baby in Mama's belly is a baby boy or baby girl. It took a while for him to get more out than just baby and give us a huge grin, but he finally said "Baby Girl" in the sweetest voice. Well Matt and I are having a REALLY hard time agreeing, or really even liking the girls names we come up with. We have a boys name and will announce it if this is a boy. Any way I have recently decided that I like the name Rebecca, Becca for short. Matt likes the name Natalie. Needless to say we don't the each others pick. Well, I guess that I just had to see what would happen if I presented my pick to Nicholas.....well he says the sweetest two words, "Baby Beeca." Matt said that it isn't fair that my name is easier to a 2 year old to say.....well now when asked Nicholas says the baby's name is "Baby Beeca, Baby Beeca." We will see on July 11th if he is right or not. Who am I to doubt his intution?

Does is get any better

Nicholas LOVES to play with his friends, in his room, by him self. Just check out his face!

Poppie's little pal

Too sweet....

Changing of the guards

My mom was down for two weeks and then my dad came down for 2 weeks, but ended up staying an extra week. It worked out well, I was in hospital for a night! They got to see each other for one night. My mom ended up coming back the day my dad left. They met up for about 10 minutes in the airport. My parents are SO wonderful. I can never thank them enough for all of their help!

Potato Head

I realized that I didn't put any pictures of my parents on my blog when they were here helping me out. Here are some pictures of my mom and Nicholas playing Potato Head together. He loved to put the glasses on, I think this started the 'eyes' obsession. What a little ham!

Peaches

He doesn't eat a lot of food but we have found some that he LOVES. He will point and say peach and will eat and eat until only the pit is left. He is usually dripping with juice and a total sticky mess.

Little Gym

Here are the pictures I got before the camera died. Nicholas has had so much fun going to Little Gym this semester. The Saturday is his last class so I will try to get more and better pictures of him having fun. Look at the squat for his jump.

Grandmum

Nicholas was so happy to see his Grandmum. Daddy stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and Grandmum went crazy buying stuff for Nicholas. Here he is singing on his karaoke Elmo. He also got a golf bag complete with clubs, a big bounce ball, digging tools, and a Bob-The-Builder tool bench. What fun we are having with Grandmum!

Hanging out

Here are a few random pics....just too cute to pass up on posting.

Filling the pool

Nicholas' new obsession is the hose or the sprayer. He and Matt like to spray each other in the grass. I am not sure Matt really thought that they were going to get more water in the pool than out of if, but it is so cute to watch Nicholas spray the water. He sure thinks he knows what he is doing.

Pictures

As promised here are the pictures of Nicholas mowing the lawn.
With his hat and (eyes) sungalsses.
Wiping the sweat away with his shirt!
Looking so serious.
Turning around just like Daddy.

We've been busy

Celebrating anniversaries, engagement and 30th birthdays. Although the celebrating is mostly done over the phone and at home. Matt and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on May 25th. I can't believe it has been 4 years already. But then I look and Nicholas and realize that he is almost 2, we have lived in 2 different states and three houses since we have been married so I guess maybe it does feel like it has been 4 years! My parents celebrated their 35th anniversary on June 2nd. I wonder if they feel like it has really been 35 years! Then the BIG news is that my little sister and her man got ENGAGED!!! It was 'officially' on June 2nd, but just after midnight. From what I hear they are both just glowing with excitement. It will be a fall 2008 wedding. We couldn't be happier for both Christie and Jamie. Finally, I turned 30 yesterday. It really wasn't such a big deal. I feel good about jumping into my thirties. I mean I will soon be a mom of 2 and I have done a lot in my 20 so I am right where I want (and thought) I would be when I turned 30.
I don't have great pictures of anything to post so I will post pictures of Nicholas mowing the grass. He is so funny to watch. He takes his little mower around the pool the whole time Matt mows the lawn. Last week he started wiping his face with his shirt. Oh yes and he has to wear his sunglasses and hat while mowing. He is such a little character!
